As the school summer term begins next week, Independent Cleaning Services (ICS) has been contracted to Outwood Grange Academies Trust, taking over the cleaning services for 11 of the 41 Trust schools, both primary and secondary, across Wakefield, Pontefract, Doncaster, Sheffield, and Scunthorpe.
With schools and academy trusts free to source their own cleaning services, ICS has established itself as a first-rate and cost-effective service for educational establishments over the last 20-plus years.
The East Yorkshire-based firm, with its head office in Neptune Street, Hull, is employing 60+ staff on the 11 school contracts, working under a highly experienced management team. The contract is for 900 weekly cleaning hours, and includes 80 vacuums, more than 300 mopping buckets, 11 carpet machines and multiple specialised cleaning equipment based at each school.

The schools ICS will partner with are: Cityfields Academy, Parkhill Primary, Greenhills Primary, Ledger Lane Primary, Lofthouse Gate Primary, Kirkhamgate Primary and Newstead Green Primary, all in Wakefield. Bell Lane Primary in Pontefract, Woodlands Primary in Doncaster, Foxhills Academy in Scunthorpe, and City Academy in Sheffield.

ICS has been operating cleaning services regionally and nationally for 30-plus years. Part of the SPS Group, ICS is principally involved in contract and commercial specialist cleaning services, schools, shopping centres and hygiene cleaning as well as janitorial and washroom supplies.
