In a clear sign of investment into homegrown talent, Hull-based Independent Cleaning Services (ICS), part of the SPS Group, has promoted Jasmine Rhodes to a Business Development role.

Jasmine Rhodes, 23, was recruited to join ICS in Neptune Street, Hull, in 2012 as an 17-year-old Apprentice supporting the administrative, personnel and marketing teams. A former pupil of Winifred Holtby School on Leads Road, Jasmine has progressed excellently within the business and her hard work and commitment has seen her develop into a business development role dealing with tenders, costings and going out to sites.

ICS chose Jasmine from a sea of graduate applicants back in 2012 because Office Manager Michelle Ottley spotted her talent and potential.

Talking about her promotion, Jasmine said: “I am so pleased to have been given this latest opportunity at one of Hull’s leading employers. I have been delighted to pursue a role within a large business, take on new and increasing duties and learn from the ground up.”

Jasmine has now worked for the business for 6-years, with just a short break for travelling, after which she was welcomed back.

Chris Turner Managing Director added “We saw potential in Jasmine when she first came through our doors as an 17-year-old. We saw the opportunity to choose from talent within our city to train up and develop. We have always been a business who looks to the future and nurtures the people we have working for us and this is another opportunity to give a bright young person an excellent push in her career.”

The SPS Group employs more than 1,000 staff and offers a single provider solution for cleaning, security and technical.
