In a clear sign of investment into home-grown talent, Hull-based SPS Security, part of the SPS Group, has promoted Dan Little to General Manager in charge of the Security and Technical arms of the business.

Dan has been promoted to the senior role after a fast-paced career progression within the business over the last four years. He started his career with SPS in 2014 as customer service manager, and his can-do attitude, forward thinking and commitment to the role led him to promotion to Assistant Operations Manager and then to Operations Manager before accelerating to his current role of General Manager.

He oversees everything within SPS Security, leading a team of 300 guards and eight technical staff. His role encompasses customer relations, staff performance management, daily audits of customer accounts, ensuring high standards are met, planning operations team targets and ensuring patrols are completed on time and to plan.

John Beharrell, Managing Director of SPS Security commented: “Dan’s promotion is testament to his hard work and commitment every day. He is a real asset to the company”

Dan, who enjoys golf and football in his spare time and raises money for charity through various running events, added: “I am thrilled to have received this promotion. I work tirelessly every day to ensure our team and operations run smoothly, efficiently and ultimately give our customers the very best service.”

Dan was instrumental in introducing a pioneering new technology into the business last year – Partner Tuff – which enables SPS customers to receive operational information instantly or in virtual real-time. This latest high-spec technology allows customers to assist and protect frontline personnel, as well as monitor all activity by providing proof of location and activity in real-time, the ability to log and capture incidents and provide effective task management.

As the group celebrated its 25th year in business last year, it remains focussed on staying at the forefront of the latest technologies that enable its customers to stay one step ahead. Daniel continued: “We work hard to stay one step ahead of our competition and provide the very best service to our customers. I am delighted to be leading the team as we continue to grow and prosper.”

The SPS Group employs more than 1,000 staff and offers a single provider solution for cleaning, security and technical.
